Pamela Anderson’s Veggie Advert Banned
By Jo /
A new PETA advert depicting Pamela Anderson in a bikini, with all her body parts labelled (showing that humans and animals are composed of identical parts) has been banned in Canada by officials that claimed the advert “goes against all principles public organizations are fighting for in the everlasting battle of equality between men and women”. PETA’s senior Vice President, Dan Matthews added: “I think that city officials are looking at this lovely ad and confusing ‘sexy’ with ‘sexist’.”
Anderson critised the decision, stating “In a city that is known for it’s exotic dancing and for being progressive and edgy, how sad that a woman would be banned from using her own body in a political protest.”
The advert was supposed to be unveiled outside Montreal’s Place Jaques-Cartier but it will now be revealed at the Restaurant Globe as part of a news conference for [][1]the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.
